A few reverso examples translate this particular term as "band-aid", as in "a band-aid approach". Seems like a nice gloss in some contexts. Comments: | Depending on opinions on my edit to 俳諧の連歌, not sure what you'd actually want to do with [2]. Seems [2] should be [hist] (limited to discussion of poetry development). Outside of historical discussion, one would probably assume [1]. I'm not sure [3] is actually archaic. (wiktionary only gives the poetic sense, not in sankoku) But it's elucidating to have one way or the other. Definitely in daijs as the first entry. |

Oxford tags "NASA" as an abbreviation but not "FIFA" (Fédération Internationale de Football Association). "VSOP" is not an abbreviated form of 超長距離干渉計. I can see an argument for tagging sense 2 as abbr, as it's a Japanese-made acronym of a Japanese word. Daijr doesn't describe "CD", "DVD", etc. as abbreviations but does define "JK" as "女子高生の略". |

Potential candidates for free addressing, also known as motelling, spend a significant amount of time away from the office (for example, at a client base or on the road) and are equipped with portable technology (laptop, portable printer, cellular modem and phone). These candidates may include sales, marketing, outreach, audit, inspectors, examiners, contractors and customer services. An organization can achieve significant savings by providing one workspace for every 2 to 8 employees" most hits for "free address" + "office" in English result in hits originating from Japan though. Maybe the GSA article got the term from one of the Japanese research papers? |

Comments: | It doesn't necessarily refer to a gangster, but any member of an organization/company/club/group ending with 組, which isn't uncommon among 建設会社 for example. Maybe 2 senses though? jawiki says gang members are called 組員 even if the yakuza organization's name ends with 会 rather than 組. |
1. | A* 2012-06-03 22:03:12 Francis | |
Comments: | "きそう" comes up as many entries, but not in the context of the usage in the text which I was reading. When the "に" is added, nothing comes up. However, Google search reveal a great deal and your [A] link shows a good number of examples which match context of my reading. I appreciate that "な" and "に" are not usually in the main entry, but perhaps there is a need for some exceptions when the main part is the same as the reading of so many other entries. Anyway, I hope that is helpful. At least, you will know the journey which I took from the travelling dictionary to your site in order to find a basic meaning in confirmation of my initial thoughts. Of course, one can look up "き[気]" and then "そう" and try to blend meanings, but the one who does not know would not end up with a certain outcome. |
