Comments: | No change to the above. You have the link: "よべる (etc.) See: 呼ぶ" for the searcher. So perhaps the following RH entries should be deleted:- よべる (?) ???; RH 呼べる 【よべる】 (?) ???; RH PS. By the way, the new box on the "next" page which restricts the text to my screen size is a great benefit when checking one's submission. It save scrolling back and forth. The benefit of minor changes is again proven!! |

Comments: | I think either "west of the ... tectonic line" or "Chubu and westwards" is fine ("not clearly defined" was perhaps superfluous and could of course be left out), but I think mentioning Chubu is a lot more helpful, as 1) the term is most frequently not used in the strictly geological sense, 2) a lot more people will be familiar with the Chubu region than the Itoigawa-Shizuoka Tectonic Line. It's just not as helpful. Though I wouldn't mind a 2nd [geol] sense that could be the "west of the fault line" gloss. |

Comments: | 'western Japan' itself is vague, so i don't see the need for a note saying that the term is vague. daijr offers the geological definition, which corresponds very well with what i consider to be the west-east division from a practical standpoint: the separation of the power grids into 60Hz and 50 Hz. daijisen agrees in their definition for 糸魚川静岡構造線: 東北日本と西南日本の境目 |

There are some real hits but I'm sure they're way less common in comparison with バタ臭い than what you could assume from the ngrams. (if we do keep it in, it should be marked as iK) |

Comments: | This was in the text which I was reading as: "...を考えぶかげに眺めていた。"; which I took to mean "someone was looking thoughtfully at ...". When checking on your site for confirmation, I could not find this proposed entry, nor simply "ぶかげに". I thought that this potential suffix may have been "風影"、but I could not find that either so maybe my thoughts were wrong. A little more search came up with this: "とアリスは、考えぶかげにいいました。 said Alice thoughtfully: - Lewis Carroll"; which gave confirmation to my initial thoughts. I have shown the reference. If your experts find support, then it would be good to include this; although the Google hits are not too much. If your experts wanted to include just the suffix, the Google gives many more hits for that; assuming that I am correct in my thougts. |
