I don't think this should be tagged [yoji].
No other dictionary (i.e. daij, nikk, prog, gg5) splits like this. GG5 has
【哲】 (an) antinomy ( antinomic adj.); 《口》an either-or situation.
but the 口 here applies to the English wording of course, and doesn't really suggest a separate sense of the Japanese word that is
colloquial.
(what I'm saying is, if there should be two senses, which I'm not sure there should be, I'm not sure the second sense should be tagged

  Comments:
I think either "west of the ... tectonic line" or "Chubu and
westwards" is fine ("not clearly defined" was perhaps
superfluous and could of course be left out), but I think
mentioning Chubu is a lot more helpful, as 1) the term is
most frequently not used in the strictly geological sense,
2) a lot more people will be familiar with the Chubu region
than the Itoigawa-Shizuoka Tectonic Line. It's just not as
helpful. Though I wouldn't mind a 2nd [geol] sense that
could be the "west of the fault line" gloss.

'western Japan' itself is vague, so i don't see the need for a note saying that the term is vague. daijr offers the geological definition, which corresponds very well with what i consider to be the west-east division from a practical standpoint: the separation of the power grids into 60Hz and 50 Hz. daijisen agrees in their definition for 糸魚川静岡構造線: 東北日本と西南日本の境目

除目
じもくじょもく
1. [n]
▶ ceremony for appointing officials other than ministers (from the Heian period)

History:
5. A 2012-06-01 02:14:58  Rene Malenfant <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
the entry in 漢字源 (the ref used above) for 除目 has both readings, but used in different senses:
[除目]
ジョモク--官職を与えることを記した詔書。
ジモク--[日本]平安時代、大臣以外の役人を諸官職に任命した儀式。

じもく is definitely the right first headword here. nikk/wiki also have じょもく as synonymous so including as a second reading

"Free Address means multiple offices or workspaces shared by
individuals on a firstcome, first-served basis. Potential
candidates for free addressing, also known as
motelling, spend a significant amount of time away from the
office (for example, at a
client base or on the road) and are equipped with portable
technology (laptop,
portable printer, cellular modem and phone). These
candidates may include sales,
marketing, outreach, audit, inspectors, examiners,
contractors and customer services.
An organization can achieve significant savings by providing
one workspace for every
2 to 8 employees"

most hits for "free address" + "office" in English result in
hits originating from Japan though. Maybe the GSA article
got the term from one of the Japanese research papers?

ふぐ is a jukujikun for 河豚, I meant to say. Gotta be careful.

Meikyo and sankoku don't display the kanji form in their entries for this expression.
河豚 is a jukujikun according to the kokugos, so maybe it's not so important to display it here.

While we're at it, can we also standardize the romanization used, i.e. either "ritsuryo" or "ritsuryō"?
The macron version seems more common to me.

They probably can. There are ~150 entries related to the ritsuryo period/system. I'll leave this open until I can look at it more.
