  Comments:
yes, i'm happy leaving it just as 'gratin'. google image hits are basically identical. also, グラタン皿 is comfortably (and probably better) translated as 'gratin dish', so i don't see that the addition is necessary. gratin is グラタン and casserole is キャセロール

  Comments:
Um. I'm a bit wary here. I've eaten/seen many a グラタン in Japan, and never seen anything like a casserole called "グラタン". GG5 glosses グラタン皿 as "a casserole", but that's the dish.

Add clarification “of the day” – distinguish:
始発 “first departure of the day”
先発 “first departure from now” (関西弁; 関東弁=今度)

Yes, it's 旧仮名使い. You see it in a lot of 国語s, e.g. 大辞林's entry: "よう やう [1] 【様】" where the "やう" is in a smaller font showing it's the old form (*not* pronunciation".)
It's an area where we (and most modern J-Other dictionaries don't go.

I note that GG5 only has 唐物/とうぶつ, which supports Rene's position. I'm quite comfortable with とうぶつ going first.
My IME (Canna dictionary) does the same, but really that is not an argument for one reading or the other for a specific lexeme like this one.
I see for 唐物屋 Daijirin has both とうぶつや and からものや with quite different meanings.

when I type からもの, my (standard windows) converter turns it
into 唐物 (as one word, pressing space changes both at once)
without any problems, but when I type とうぶつ that's not
recognized as a single word and I get two separate lines
under each kanji (i.e. pressing space changes only one kanji
) and 党物 etc.
Reading 唐 as から isn't that uncommon either (唐揚げ etc.),
so I don't think it's the case that everybody would
automatically assume it's read as とうふつ over からもの.

I don't think that works as an expl gloss. 現つ神 is the name itself rather than a word that means "honorific term for the emperor". There was discussion about this distinction on 1009120.
I suggest either putting the entry back to how it was or going with something like "emperor; [lit] living god".

I know it's in Daijisen, but "used as a vinegar" sounds odd. I feel "used as a food acid" is more accurate. I've see daidaizu refrred to as "citrus vinegar" - again a bit odd as "vinegar" implies acetic acid, which is not in 橙酢 AFAIK.

  Comments:
What came in originally was "掘り尽くす; 堀つくす". 堀つくす is pretty rare (wrong kanji and okurigana, but 堀りつくす is more common.
The submission was fine after a rework. For verbs please remember to make them "to ...".

"掘りつくす" was in the text. I searched and found the entry for promotion as "掘り尽くす". When I clicked on "G" search, the result was 9k hits. So I suggested promotion. I am not sure about your comment Jim. I did not keep a record of the actual submission. Perhaps I did make a mistake, but apart from the "堀りつくす[iK]" which I do not recall adding, the entry seems as it ought to be.

Rene seems to have marked it as "accepted" so perhaps my additional comment here is not now relevant.

"柔物" is read as にこもの in ”毛の柔物” in daijs, so maybe that

Very interesting discussion on that page. I suspect it's becoming more widely used, although こんど/つぎ are more common in Kanto. I think I'll drop the "dial" in favour of a note.

BTW, the 関東弁 terms are, AFAICT:
こんど、つぎ、つぎつぎ
(今度、次、次々)
(often kana)
…which in 関西弁 are instead:
先発、次発、次々発
(せんぱつ、じはつ、じじはつ)
(usually (always?) kanji)
(show/hide 1 older log entries)

1,100,000 次々発

Discussion of reading:
http://okwave.jp/qa/q378705.html
  Comments:
See discussion at 2713520 次発 – common in Kansai
(only at larger stations though, naturally – more 大阪 than 京都)
The reading is obvious enough from 次発(じはつ) though as the linked page notes, this is mostly just used for display, as 「じじはつは◯◯です」 would be very confusing as an announcement.
No explanation, as sufficiently addressed at 次発
