I think に付いて should be dropped. Standard use of 付く surely accounts for the overwhelming majority of that n-gram count.

I'm fine with [rK] in spite of the statistics - it is "correct" - but whatever you decide. Note: statistics for 極 and 谷 should probably not be directly compared, as they are not generally considered interchangeable in correct usage. (谷 = 窮 only, it seems). There are modern examples of 谷まる in yourei, it appears here and there online, but is indeed rare.

If we [sK] 谷まる, I think all instances of 谷まる should be [sK] across all entries, including 進退極まる and 進退これ谷まる. If 谷 is removed from 進退これ谷まる, that entry should probably just be deleted.

Sorted on hits (90+% are for 極まりない).
Apart from those examples in the 中辞典, I see no case for a hard split of the senses according to kanji, and not even enough evidence to flag the senses as "usu. ...". It all points to the surface forms being interchangeable, but with 極まりない being used most of the time for both senses. As in the GG5 examples, the suffix is often only in kana. きわまりない alone get ~1M hits, i.e. about 12% of 極まりない, but it's mostly as the suffix.

研究社中 distinguishes two senses (by kanji), and gives examples for both
See GG5 (or other) for きわまる(極まる/窮まる) kanji distinction (“go to extreme” vs. “end, terminate”).
  Comments:
In principle this could be (should be?) split into two entries – the senses are distinguished by kanji 極/窮 (extreme vs. limitless) and grammatically (suffix vs. not), in addition to semantically, so these only meet 1/3 in common (same reading).
Admittedly, these are close, so all the dicts keep them together (and generally don’t carefully distinguish them), so it’s probably ok to keep them together, but a good case can be made for splitting them (as we do for 診る and 看る from 見る).
* Split senses – main sense is “extremely …”, and is used as a suffix. This is the only sense most dicts give.
(We already have 痛快極まりない as a usage)
(Other sense of “boundless”, as in “boundless universe” is in 研究社中 but not most others.)
* Add pos [suf] to sense used as suffix

* Add alt senses – the わっ = boo! is v. common and important (also “ugh” sense)

Note the entries:
わあ
わっ
わっと
GG5 puts わっ as a pronunciation of わあ, while 研究社中 and the 国語辞書 (daijr, koj, shinkai) have them separate.
Everyone has わっと separate, as that’s an adverb (quoted sound).
Following our standards (w/o kanji, a bit tricky to do 2/3 analysis), I think best is to:
* include わっ as a reading on わあ、わあっ、わっ, as it’s used for all the senses of わあ
* have a separate entry for わっ in the senses that don’t overlap
The only sense that’s similar is that わっ is used for both startl*ing* and being startl*ed* (you don’t use わあ to startle though, AFAIK: dicts don’t have it, and you really need the っ to startle) – I think this is clearest as a cross-reference.

That would be a nice not-so-little project for someone.
In the version of ENAMDICT used by WWWJDIC I attempt to move the more common readings to the front, which is why すがはら comes first. The rest are in 五十音 order. In the combined file they are just individual entries.
1. A* 2012-04-09 22:18:39
  Comments:
Hi, 管原 is listed in the "combined" dictionaries, as are many other names, which is useful. However, it would be very helpful, with all these names, to have an indication of how common the various pronunciations are. For example, in some cases (not necessarily this one; I'm not sure) some pronunciations may be vastly more frequent than others, but there's currently no way of telling. I know it's quite a lot of work, but it would be a useful enhancement if anyone ever has the time and inclination.

I'll reverse the order. Most usage is for the "telephone call" sense.
There are 44 "お電話" in Tatoeba. I'd link them to this entry if the index edit ever gets repaired.

This is a notable exception to usual お/ご rule for honorific (has on reading, but takes お〜 prefix – there are a few of these).
Seems esp. used in business, in referring to interlocutor’s phone call (thank you for your call, etc.), hence highlighted that sense a bit.
