I don't think this really can be a useful dictionary entry. I looked hard at its use in context in a lot of WWW pages (there are 490k hits, of which many are false positives.) They are split between 何だ + から and 何 + だから, with a bias to the former. A general meaningful gloss is really impossible.

I agree. It's often something like お黙りなさい.

I don't think this is entry necessary.  We have a general policy against お-noun entries unless there is a dictionary reference for them (and in this case there is none).  It's an obvious derived form in Japanese and no different than saying "Silence!" in English.

Often this is followed by "なさい" and picks up the meaning of "Shut up!". Even without "なさい" it seems to have much the same meaning, as far as I can tell from context and searching around.

It picks up quite a good measure of Google hit and I think you may wish to include it.

If one follows the a + b concept, one may think that it is a polite way of seeking silence from someone for good reason where there is a need to interrupt a flow of speech. I guess that if my searching is right, then the a + b concept would be wrong.
