Comments: | Jim, have you had any correspondence with jisho.org regarding support for sk/sK forms? It concerns me that the most popular JMdict dictionary website is currently showing them as though they're regular forms. |
|
11. | A* 2022-08-18 18:06:25 Opencooper | |
Comments: | Maybe should still be tagged [uk] for the downstream users who haven't yet/won't implement hiding of the search forms but still update the dictionary data? See for example Jisho currently: https://jisho.org/search/へこたれる. Otherwise, it makes the kanji seem common, negating the intent of the new tags. |

I've entered it as the causative 走らせる because from what I can figure, the regular verb form 目を走る means something else, along the lines of "to go once around (a track, a game board, etc)"... many of the search hits relate to cycling (e.g., 1周目を走る). "時計に目を走る" gets zero hits. 目を走る could be a separate entry, but I'm not confident in my comprehension of the meaning. |

Comments: | 「・・・まったく、とんでもなく酒癖悪いんだな。中野といい勝負だ。」 "She's as bad a drunk as Nakano is." 「水泳では兄といい勝負だ。」 "I'm equal to my brother in swimming." If I read this entry, I think of either a football game that is evenly matched, or something that does not use foul play ("fair match") I think it needs to be mentioned that "match" does not always refer to a literal contest being held. |
