Comments: | I think this might deserve to be a Priority entry. While it's tough to tell the relative frequency of こまごま versus ほそぼそ as written in kanji without going through stuff manually, "細々" "こまごま" gets a few more hits than "細々" "ほそぼそ". Also, "こまごま" gets 12.9M hits versus 1.2M for "ほそぼそ". Since the news frequency source didn't contain readings, it seems possible that all the hits for 細々/細細 got lumped together and applied as frequency to ほそぼそ, while perhaps both readings should actually be Priority entries. |

For example, in the sentence 本校について説明した方が良さそうだな。 It's something like "would be good (to do)" or "would be a good idea"... I saw it defined on one web page as "sounds good" (as in "sounds like a good idea" not as in a pleasant audio experience). If you understand my meaning, perhaps you have a good way to put it into words? I don't feel like I'm doing a great job. |

In this case, it'd be: daijs, daijr (or, as a short way to referring to the pair of them, daij). Please separate kanji forms with a semicolon rather than a comma. Don't include examples as part of the meanings; those can go in references or comments. Don't start something with a capital letter unless there's a reason to (generally proper nouns). An expression which ends with a verb like this will have the parts-of-speech [exp] and the type of the verb; in this case, [exp,v5s]. Comments: | I found this as クラリネット吹き in a context that means "clarinet player". When I looked it up, I found references to クラリネット吹き(http://ameblo.jp/junkocl/), フルート吹き(http://wing.zero.ad.jp/dufrene/), and more, and it seems like it is also used to mean "playing (a flute, clarinet, etc)". I am not 100% confident in that meaning, though, so I have left it off. Please add if you think it's appropriate. |

Comments: | these three headwords all get less than 100 google hits. since it's an obvious literal translation, i don't think it's needed. for E-J translation, the more natural translation is simply みなさん. |

Comments: | In looking up this term, I found several variants, but this one (with the alternate さん・さま・様 endings) seemed to be most common. Since the literal translation is "Gentlemen and Ladies", I thought it might be worth noting that, but I couldn't figure out how to properly use the [lit] tag. Also, I found the term written with both "並びに" and "ならびに", but I didn't know if adding three more variants to the Kanji field -- 紳士ならびに淑女の皆さん;紳士ならびに淑女の皆さま;紳士ならびに淑女の皆様 -- would be appropriate, particularly if they also have to be added to the [restr] tags. It would make the entry huge. |

Comments: | Meaning 1 could be inferred from はっきり and 言う, but it's meaning 2 that brought the phrase to my attention. I imagine there are numerous other variants of "to put it bluntly" that could be included, but I've just used the two for now. |
