Comments: | Meaning #8 refers to the entry for 指を詰める, and its meaning "to jam (one's finger in a door, etc.)"; however, that is not the meaning listed on the page for 指を詰める. There it says "to catch one's finger (in a door, etc.)". To "jam" one's finger is something different in English (at least as I've heard it). |

Comments: | I think this base noun is more useful (it is far more common.) Please take some time to read the instructions for preparing entries, e.g. use katakana in the reading part where there is katakana in the kanji part, separate meanings with a semi-colon; not a comma, etc. |

Comments: | I ran across this word, and it's not in the jmdict. I found numerous mentions on google, including http://kadenfan.hitachi.co.jp/rei/lineup/r-c6700/feature/05/index.html and http://www.toshiba.co.jp/living/refrigerators/pickup/gr_d62f_07.htm and http://www.sharp.co.jp/support/refrigerator/faq_hot-ko_3.html, which are all pages about refrigerators, but at my reading level, I can't tell for sure if 製氷室 means "refrigerator" or some variation thereof (refrigerator w/ice maker, refrigerator/freezer, freezer w/ice maker, ice maker, etc). Perhaps you know? |
