Comments: | In this dictionary both the "kanji part" and "reading" are headwords. The "uk" tag indicates that the kana version is more common. I agree that it's a subtle point, and for a while we had separate 加奈陀/かなだ and カナダ entries, but we have settled as a matter of policy that the 加奈陀/カナダ(uk)/Canada structure is best. |
|
8. | A* 2012-11-19 01:29:55 huixing | |
Comments: | i'm afraid there is not exist カナダ as entry word as is. it look as though just a "reading", not as head word. since there is not カナダ in dictionary, it is very strange to me. |

In addition, it should include "at left" as below:- 片偏 【かたへん】 (n) kanji "side" radical (radical 91) at left I have not tried to amend the entry for the reasons which have been noted on the previous submissions. However, I wondered if the following example gives a good way to include the radical where there may be some difficulty in pasting in the actual radical on its own:- 阜偏 【こざとへん】 (n) (e.g. left side of 防) (See 邑・おおざと) kanji "mound" or "small village" radical at left (radical 170) |

Comments: | I came to this entry expecting to find that きゃっ meant "ouch", but instead it lists a more generic shriek or scream. So then I looked up "ouch", and I discovered that きゃっ does indeed mean "ouch", but that is listed under a separate entry for ぎゃあ; ギャー; ぎゃっ; ギャッ.
