Comments: | Hi, I came across an instance recently where, in the context of someone in hospital, 外泊 actually meant to spend a night at home, not away from home. I was advised that 外泊 meant spending a night away from the expected place, which was usually home, but not always. I don't know whether it's worth changing the definition to reflect this, or whether that was an odd and unusual case. |

Refs: | The refs are inconsistent about whether the first sense is [vi] or [vt]. Iwakoku and sankoku have it tagged as both. Marcus commented on GitHub: >> I think hiding away the type of rare or obscure kanji that are still included in one or two kokugos with [sK] rather than tagging them as [rK] can lead to confusion This seems to be one such entry. I don't think there are too many others. In addition to meikyo, "胎む" is also recorded in kanjipedia and gendai reikai. I don't think there's a problem with making it [rK]. You can find even more kanji forms (胚む・娠む・姙む・肧む) for this word if you look through various kanwas. I think we have to draw a line somewhere. |

Comments: | It should have [nokanji]; that is the purpose of [nokanji]. If this reading is of Japanese origin (and I'm nearly certain that it is), then there's no difference between 三色同順[さんしょくどうじゅん,サンショクドウジュン(nokanji)] and any of our animal names like 鴨[かも,カモ(nokanji)]. - The only time [nokanji] should be omitted for katakana is when the word is of foreign origin, which makes katakana the "correct" way to write it in kana. |

Comments: | さんしょくどうコー certainly looks odd, but I see it actually gets 6 unique hits, so we are not entirely alone on this. さんしょくドーコー gets more (269). I suspect if we are going to put in weird readings, it should be there too? (I'll just approve this, and the notes are here if anyone is following this up.) |
