Comments: | What was there was quite in accord with the references. Daijirin shows it's a と/たる, so changing the gloss to the する form is not appropriate. The GG5 examples are: 彼は黙々として語らなかった. He remained mute and silent. 彼女は皿の上にうつむいて黙々と食べた. She bowed her head over her plate and ate in silence. The xref to 黙然 is because they are similar and related. |
