The Kenkyusha 新和英大辞典第5版 has for いたずら:

4 〔不義密通〕 an affair; misconduct; 《文》 a liaison; an amour;
〔性的暴力〕 sexual assault; rape.
~な 〔淫奔な〕 lecherous; lewd; loose; wanton; immoral.

Eijiro has a couple of strong uses, e.g.
子どもに対する性的いたずら : child molestation
性的にいたずらされる : be sexually molested●be the victim of sexual molestation

The 大辞林 国語辞典 has:
(5) 異性に対し,みだらな行為をはたらくこと。

It really doesn't sound like that light a word. Possibly it's very dependent on context.
7. A* 2013-08-13 06:34:16  Trevor Alexander <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
Removed the 'rape' definition from this word. いたずら is definitely too light a word for such, and it is dangerously misleading.

> I see 海を走る

Well, that's obviously not the sort of thing I was considering ;-)

I'll see if I can pick out a few of the most plausible looking and get some second opinions as to how weird they look. It might be worth a [note] on the sense.

http://allabout.co.jp/gs/citycycle/subject/msub_cate01_2.htm
街中で自転車を走るなら、ファッショナブルに決めたいもの。
* That's pretty straight forward.

http://www11.plala.or.jp/wanpagemomo/page_1.html
車を走る事5分足らずで、「くーんくーん」泣かれ、仕方がなく膝に抱っこ。
また、車を走る事15分で、嘔吐され、膝は吐いたもので、ぐちゃぐちゃ状態。
* Two for the price of one

http://www.we-blog.jp/sun/tradewinds/a0000151989.php
さらに車を走ると、思わず息を飲む光景を見て思わず車を止めました。
* Another clear cut case.

http://usuasagi.com/amanohasi.htm
丹波を後に、車を走ること?分・・・・
* Looks pretty confused to me.

So that's about 4 true positives from the first 40 Yahoo hits. Giving 2,300 as a 'guess' as to how many times it's actually (mistakenly or not) been used in as a 'vt'.

Maybe something like [note="occasional use as a transitive verb (e.g. 車を走る) is not accepted as good usage"]
? I'll see if I get any interesting feedback.

I've noticed quite a few places where the final 道 is dropped from names like 宮崎自動車道.
3. A* 2010-09-10 19:18:14  Jim Breen <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
Eijiro has a handful of XXを走る examples. I see 海を走る
gets 60k Yahoots, but some are prenominal.
I suspect it's not really mainline use of 走る, and perhaps the "vi" should stay there are the general rule.
2. A* 2010-09-10 00:28:30  Rene Malenfant <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
looks like it. but i wonder if it's considered correct usage or not
1. A* 2010-09-09 17:48:23  Paul Blay <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
I note that 車を走る has 23,000 Yahoo hits. Much less than 車で走る (2,520,000), but they have different meanings. Any opinion on whether the vi should be removed from [2]?

Hi, this is another "vs" entry where all definitions are nouns and the verbal meaning and transitivity is consequently unclear. For example, in this case it is not clear if 満足する means "to satisfy", "to be satisfied", or both.

にがり【〈苦汁〉・〈苦塩〉】
[名]海水から食塩を結晶させたあとに残る苦い溶液。主成分は塩化マグネシウム。豆腐を固める材料にする。にがしお。くじゅう。
but a split (perhaps with an 'also written as' note) is fine with me
  Comments:
i didn't add ろじゅう to this entry when it came through because i wasn't convinced it was the same as にがり. according to daij, ろじゅう just means 'alkaline solution' whereas にがり specifically means 'bittern'. but i see kojien has ろじゅう=にがり, so they could be merged.

AFAICT the "ok" shouldn't be on 苦塩/にがしお, which is the entry in Daijirin, Gg5, etc.
Koj has 滷汁 read as ろじゅう
Can 苦塩 ever be read "にがり"? I suspect that reading belongs to 苦汁 and maybe 滷汁. I think we need a 2 or 3-way split with xrefs.

There are no other entries from myself in the (temporal) vicinity of
http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/dicsubs/PreviousYears/2008-08/subs2008-08-27.html
that would hint at a context, but if you look at the bottom of that page,
you will notice that my entry was not "etc." but "(etc.)", which very much looks like
evidence of an accident to me: there was obviously something preceding the "(etc.)"
that got wiped out and that i cannot reconstruct after two years.
As it stands the entry makes no sense to me, either...

if i remember correctly, my sense of the term (at least as of 10 years ago) was that it does (or did) indeed refer mostly to not aggressively pursuing women. so i think there's some truth in the 2nd sense but its negativity is overstated

the 2nd sense sounds something like "soy boy" in english, which i think no one would choose to identify as

To be frank, I simply don't know. It was proposed in 2010 and we let it in. Looking back at it, I think it's probably just a catty way of rewording sense 1. Perhaps it would be best dripped.

Given the discussion about old Kanji, for the time being why not add them just to new / updated entries using something like http://www.benricho.org/moji_conv/13.html to do the conversion?

Maybe it's enough to display just one irregular form in this entry.

No need to repeat that information here.
