I've given only ~1/3rd of the adj-f uses return by the first 100 ngrams.  They are extensive.

The editorial policy suggests that a separate sense could be added if necessary to provide clear glosses for a very-common grammatical pattern.  I'll grant you that it doesn't take a rocket scientist to get from "cumulative total" and "accumulated total" and "cumulative", "total", and "accumulated" as glosses.  My point would only be that the [adj-f] usage appears to be the dominant usage.  I mean, look at する,　は and が. It's a drop in the bucket.

I agree. Not a separate sense.

I suspect it's sense 2 being used in a rather idiomatic way. I can't see that that quote by itself is enough to support a new sense. I haven't been able to identify the pattern elsewhere,

Google Chrome (and possibly other browsers) inserts a line break when text wraps to the next line (which happens a lot when editing on a mobile device because text boxes are narrower). We actually just discovered what was causing this and the fix will become active soon.

So it appears that ず is the 連用形 of the auxiliary verb ぬ which already has an entry in JMdict. There must be an error in unidic-mecab because it claims that ず is the lemma of ず and ぬ.

I have the understanding that conjunctive forms should not be in the dictionary (example: する, し) so I removed the edit.
