Comments: | DIJG says that when the preceding verb is transitive, っぱなし "means that someone does something to X and leaves X as it is without putting it back to its original state, which is not the proper way." When the preceding verb is transitive, っぱなし "means that something or something keeps doing something." Prog and wisdom split along these lines. Dropping spec1 from the kanji form. |
