Comments: | 1) The English definitions, especially those at the top of the list, need serious work to get a structural fit - in many cases the explicit "of" is not there at all (or, at most, implied) - example: "this XYZ is attracting attention"; "this XYZ is getting popular" 2) Many of the currently suggested meanings are colloquial expression with exactly the same meaning of the few that i am suggesting as main entries for the moment - i am not sure to which extent such Thesaurus-like entries are needed/wanted 3) Could this entry be amended (perhaps even with the inclusion of the putting the original terms at the tail end) and still left in WI1 for the time being, until others have had time to comment on this matter? |
