You'd never (well, not normally) say "I'm gonna turn/rotate/spin/twist/gyrate the washing machine" in English. If I'm looking for the meaning of 回す in a case like that, I might very well skim past it. I do think it should be its own sense. I suggest giving it number 5, after "to turn (to a new use)" and before "to put (someone in a position)" |
