Fork.
12. A* 2020-09-17 01:13:17  Robin Scott <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
That's never been a hard-and-fast rule, though. We'll often put less common senses first, e.g. when there's a literal and figurative meaning.
The major JEs also tend to put more common senses first but they all lead with "circle" in this case.
11. A* 2020-09-17 00:35:02  Marcus Richert <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
But... the dictionary style is to put the most
common meaning first. Esp. when we're talking
spoken language, "yen" must be more than 2
orders of magnitude more common as a meaning
for 円 than "circle" is. I don't think we
should make ad-hoc exceptions on the fly
either, if "circle" should come first, then we
should implement a concise and clear rule/test
for when a less common meaning should
supersede the most common one.
10. A* 2020-09-17 00:16:07  Robin Scott <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
I don't think it matters that "yen" is more common. 円/circle is an extremely common and basic word. Looks odd having it after the currency sense.
9. A* 2020-09-16 22:33:37  Marcus Richert <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
"yen" is the more common meaning by far, so I
disagree. (I don't think the note is needed
either.)

I'm happy with this order, but the note has to go - that sense is alive and well. I wonder how many people on seeing 円 solo in the context of a circle would read it as えん rather than まる?
I'll close this, and reopen for further discussion, if needed.

  Comments:
eijiro, reverso, wikipedia xref. "indentured servitude" is also the term I'm familiar with from textbooks.

Apparently the system morphed from something debt-based some something more employment-looking over time (so the "indentured servitude" vs. "apprenticeship" distinction may be a question of when the term was used).

i've put 構文的に無効な試験事象 and 再帰的に定義された列 up for deletion; neither
gets more than 40 hits (and the ones they do get are pretty much all edict). the
other one is one of my submissions. it has its own wiki article, so it's probably
good to stay

木っ葉天狗 is from koj 6th ed.
Daijr doesn't have 木っ葉 for こっぱ so I assumed that 木っ端天狗 was an IME selection error from when the entry was submitted.
But if 木っ葉/こっぱ is in koj, I suppose we can include both forms.
