I was looking at the proportions of the kanji forms, and I agree given the large numbers of kana-only counts it's ok for rK status.
The ichiN tags are indicating membership of the Ichigo list, and probably shouldn't be stripped. Leaving it just on the kana is probably OK, although it hides that both the kanji forms are on the list.

in the Chapter "The Wine Bug" of Wikipedia's non-Akutagawa reference (the book "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio"), upon which Akutagawa supposedly based his story, they specifically say:
"...the priest asked him if he often got drunk. Lin acknowledged that he did."

"...it was an insect about three inches in length..."

"...he explained ... it was the essence of wine, and on being stirred up in water would turn it into wine"

so it's a (make-believe) elemental being in the form of insect, and it doesn't keep you from getting drunk

This is how the dictionary entry and Wiki explanation read to me. I can't see anything about stopping getting drunk. I wouldn't elevate Akutagawa's version to being the definition.

I think they are all "adj-i" if they behave like an -い adjective, i.e. you can get the く, くない, etc. forms. These can be seen.

"traditionally", i think the ones with の in the middle have been labelled adj-f, and the ones with が in the middle have been labelled adj-i.  but i think these entries are mostly Paul's work

i wouldn't be opposed to these getting both the adj-f and adj-i tag, but we should be consistent
