Comments: | Just about the end of matching up 利かす and 利かせる. This form is 13% of actual use, so seems to warrant inclusion with the others. Seems preferable to mark [rare] for pedagogical reasons, but maybe the numbers are too high? Couldn't actually find a dictionary to back this one up, interestingly. But it's not hard to google examples (and the n-grams are there). There was some conversation on the xref thread about whether "glare/scowl" was a common sense. Image search suggests that it absolutely is (lots of pet animals).
