I've proposed this as another sense in the  いけない entry.

daijr (sense 5㋐):  （「…といけないから」「…といけないので」などの形で）そのような事態・状態が予想されるが，それに対する備えが必要だという話し手の気持ちを表す。「雨が降ると―◦ないから，傘を持って行きなさい」「山の上は寒いと―◦ないので，コートを持って行きます」
daijs (sense 6): （「…といけない」の形で）そういう状態になると困るという気持ちを表す。「遅刻すると―ないと思って早めに出かける」「腐ると―ないから冷蔵庫に入れておく」「寒いと―ないので厚着をしてきた」

It's sense 1 ("not good") but I see that daijr and daijs have a seperate sense for this usage.
It needs a と (or 〜ては) to make sense but I wouldn't consider it an expression. It literally means "because it would be bad if".
In any case, our いけない entry probably needs some work.

Current いけない entry:  (1) wrong; not good; of no use; (2) hopeless; past hope; (3) must not do
GG5 sense 4: 〔具合が悪い･不都合だ･悪い影響を及ぼす〕
●…すると[しては]いけないから in case…; so as not to do; so that one 「doesn't [isn't]…; for fear (that)…

The problem is that it doesn't really match any of the senses of our current いけない entry. For someone encountering いけないから for the first time, it could be quite confusing or misleading.
I've just noticed that GG5 has it as a sense in its いけない entry (not indexed on いけないから so I missed it.)

I'm not seeing the usefulness here, it just looks like いけない (which can have a whole host of meanings) +から

GG5 example (one of many): 秘密が漏れるといけないから in case 「it ［the secret］ gets out; (in order) to prevent any leaks.
33 Tanaka sentences use this pattern.

Possibly useful. Quite common.
