Comments: | I don't think that's a great match: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/one-step-at-a-time "slowly and carefully, doing just a little at a time" if you look at the kokugos, they define this as doing something "without thinking of the future" and there's a nuance of being busy (考える余裕がない). so it's almost the exact opposite of doing something "slowly and carefully". |
