I would agree that in general it's not necessary to mention Japan but as this entry has no details to indicate that it has anything to do with Japan (e.g. place names, people), I felt that it needed more than just "attempted military coup". |

I think we shouldn't spell out when sometying
is Japanese/happened in Japan except very
sparingly - that should be the "default"
understanding, users should be able to assume
every entry is about Japan unless otherwise
stated. |
