Or [rare]. Image search for "葷辛類" looks like the meiji-era drawings.  Twitter mentions are in reference to the various stone monuments. 

Seems to be mostly limited to some fanciful stone signposts. "Do not enter if you've defiled yourself, or something like that."  This is what shows up in the ngrams as well. Some historical prohibition on 葷辛 for some reason.
