Given that カノン comes from Dutch whereas キャノン presumably comes from English, I think we should keep them separate. |

Daijr: キャノン entry points to カノン, which says "「カノン砲」の略。 〔「加農」とも書く〕"
GG5: キャノン entry: (1) 【玉突き】 =キャロム. (2) 【音楽】 =カノン. Has the (billiards) キャノンショット as an example. |
|
Comments: |
Reopening this to raise the question as to whether キャノン/cannon should be merged here.
The overlap of カノン, キャノン and キャロム is quite messy. |

Two comments:
- 加農 is also read かのう in the related term 加農砲 (Koj, Daijr, GG5, here.)
- カノン also means the same as キャロム in billiards, but I think it's not a candidate for merging here. |

Split from 1037950.
I think 加農 should go in the kanji field. |
