Is "soapland" by itself really that well-
known? I feel that this definition will be
very cryptical for many people, not least
because it's not obvious the use of
"masseuse" here is euphemistic.
How about something like
sex worker (at a "soapland")
? |

i don't think just "masseuse" should be in there. not only is it a little euphemistic, it also has the potential to throw shade at masseuses of more reputable establishments. also the first gloss would include women working the counter, etc. which this presumably doesn't cover.
perhaps "soapland masseuse", etc. would be okay. |
