非の打ち所がない is (a) about 20 times more common, and (b) has a meaning which is not that obvious. 打ち所が悪い is not that common and unlikely to cause someone encountering it any trouble. I agree with Rene. |

I meanT the first reference to be this:
打ち所が悪いと死ぬこともある. A blow to the wrong place [A misdirected blow] can be fatal.
It is on the same page but below.
I made the submission because the word 打ち所 is almost always paired with 悪い
except in the expression 非の打ち所がない |

i'm inclined to omit this since the translation is obvious from the sum of its parts. this is not a separate expression in any japanese dictionary or treated specially in gg5, prog, etc.
also, the first reference provided is just edict |
