Comments: | ALWAYS include references. Your translations seem to apply more to 困った人. 困ったこと is more generally a problem. 困ったこと is a fairly obvious construct, but it's very common and at least one dictionary includes it. |

Comments: | In the US, "motherfucker" is far, far more vulgar than "pain in the ass". The unwitting user of "pain in the ass" could make themselves look stupid. With "motherfucker", they might be able to get into real trouble. |
