It's a very common combination, so I'm inclined to include it, but it's really not needed, 
Something like 演奏会 is not so obvious, which is why it gets in dictionaries.

This word came directly from my teacher in an email. The exact sentence is this; ランゲージテーブルはスピーチコンテストの練習会をする. I looked up the word and I couldn't find it on this site and I thought it would be good to try and contribute to help.
