Please refer to 小学館大辞泉. It says "《「よびずて」とも》人の名を「君」「様」「さん」などの敬称をつけずに呼ぶこと。" So addressing someone "-chan" or not is not even what "yobisute" is talking about. "-chan" is totally out of concern of this context. Only whether addressing someone by "-san", "-sama", "-kun" OR NOT is the context of "yobisute". That is my point. |

I don't think "honorific suffix" is right
for things like "-chan" and "-kun".
