Comments: | * Ubiquitous on drink cans (e.g., “see date on bottom of the can”). * Reading is not completely obvious (but given in reference) – could in principle be かんてい (compare 海底) for formal 音読み、 but appears to be casual 重箱読み – which makes sense if you think of 缶・底(かん・そこ) as separate 1-character words, which I think is how they are being used here. |
