[補説] ふつう、悪い結果になるのが予想される場合に使う。文化庁が発表した平成20年度「国語に関する世論調査」では、本来の言い方とされる「火を見るより明らかだ」を使う人が71.1パーセント、本来の言い方ではない「火を見るように明らかだ」を使う人が13.6パーセントという結果が出ている。
