Comments: | I don't have any concrete references, but I know from personal experience that this term is used in Japanese weddings (e.g. it's written on the programmes) to indicate the beginning of the reception, just after the bride and groom have entered the banquet room/hall and taken their seats at the head table, but before they make their welcome speech to the guests. It usually appears in the phrase 開宴の言葉, and is spoken by the MC. |
