  Comments:
I'm inclined to let it go in. It's a very common phrase.

  Comments:
this one is slightly different than those examples, because "in practical terms" is
obviously more broadly applicable than "militarily speaking" or what have you

still, i'm not sure if this entry is necessary

This sense is covered by sense (6) of the edict entry (5 of gg5). You can have many word+面 or word+面で combinations. 軍事面 精神面 資金面 健康面 技術面 営業面 栄養面 etc.

Just noticed the following:
When i open the search page of Google Japan and start a search on 実際面で,
the result page shows at the bottom the following information:
  英語のページの検索結果を日本語に翻訳して見る:
 実際面で (In practical terms)
Maybe this is an automatic result from "Google translate"...? But why would
Google Japan give me an English translation instead of, say, a German or
Chinese one...? Hm...
