I think むうっと comes from an unabridged edition of Nikkoku. I'm not seeing it in my edition (or the one on Kotobank). Given the low counts, I think we can make むーっと and むうっと search-only.
I assume that the unabridged nikk is also the source of the "slowly (exhaling smoke)". I suggest dropping it and replacing it with the "力を入れて，唇をとじるさま" sense in daijr (and nikk). |

are at least tolerable.
I lean towards Rene's position here,

We've done it plenty of times. (A few examples: ゆったり, ほっこり, がっくり, がっちり, しっとり)
No point in forcing in awkward adverb glosses when the word effectively functions as an adjective anyway. |
