my kanwa has that passage, although it doesn't have an entry for this word
itself
【積不善之家必有余(餘)殃】
セキフゼンのいえにはかならずヨオウあり
[成語]悪事をつみ重ねた家には、その報いとしてかならず子孫にまで及ぶわざわい
がある。〔易経・坤〕 |

Seems plausible, but I wouldn't mind confirmation of the meaning. Many hits are from a passage: "積不善の家には必ず余殃有り。 (せきふぜんのいえにはかならずよおうあり)" Some sort of proverb. |

You have the following:-
積善 【せきぜん】 (n) accumulation of good deeds.
I have seen both the positive and negative side by side in text. Perhaps you would consider the inclusion of this entry. It may be helpful to make a two-way cross-reference.
Whilst it seems obvious when one knows, it may be helpful for the novice to know where the "不" is placed.
I wonder if "n" is correct in the existing entry. I am inclined to think that "exp" is more appropriate. |
