Aren't both senses ONLY aux verbs? I suggest going back to my 2010 thought bubble and just having one sense. |

I think these notes need to be expanded on because I don't get the difference between sense 1 and 2 here (esp. as they have the same
tags).
I don't see the case for "extreme honorific" for sense 2 in daijs. (which unfortunately make the two senses even more confusingly

I wouldn't want it to be a grammar lesson, but should it mention that sense 1 is from サ変動詞 and sense 2 from せる?
Also, couldn't it just have one sense in English, and a not mentioning サ変動詞/せる? |
