[n]
▶ Utsuro-bune: An unidentified craft alleged to have washed up on the shore of Hiratono-hama (which is now Ibaraki Prefecture) in Japan during the Edo Period (early 1800's). Drawings of the Utsuro-bune are thought to be among the earliest illustrations depicting a UFO. According to legend, the craft contained at least one inhabitant - a female who spoke an unknown language and carried a mysterious box that she guarded carefully. |
