The only refs with 彼れ for あれ are prog and shinmeikai. The others have 彼. If we want to include kanji we should have both forms, but my preference is to have neither (even as a note). We often ignore rare kanji in expressions. I think including kanji in this case will only be unhelpful. |

I think the kanji form was put in a note so that it wouldn't be picked up by text glossers. 彼から will virtually always be かれから.
Given how rare it is to write あれ as 彼, I think it's safe to drop the kanji entirely. I note that meikyo doesn't have it. |
