I really don't see the need for both "to throw a tantrum" and "to have a temper tantrum (esp. of children)".,  especially when we already have "to lose one's temper". I also think the original order was better.

かんしゃくを起こすって英語でなんて言うの？
「癇癪を起こす」は
to throw a fit
to have a fit
to have a temper tantrum
のような言い方があります。

例：
He didn't like the referee's call so he had a temper tantrum in front of everyone.
「彼は審判の判定が気に入らず、みんなの前で癇癪を起こした。」

「かんしゃくを起こす」はthrow a tantrumと言います(^_^)
例）
The girl is throwing a tantrum.
「少女はかんしゃくを起こしている」

Also added to 癇癪. 

I'd like to squeeze "temper tantrum" in here, and the mix of "throw"/"have" in this expression is one chance to do that. (Could xref to 癇癪 with extra glosses too).

sankoku's definition is literally 腹を立てる. That seems a bit lacking in nuance.

*news* results are all articles about parenting and children.

Searching wikipedia does see this used as adult males becoming violent (towards wives, etc.).
