Maybe I'm currently totally biased here, but the examples seem to support my suspicion. This basically all means "cutting into a board" but not "boards" per
se, to me. Adding a comma for clarity.

Not at all common, but it seems valid. All the cases I see have にする. It seems to be from 引て板 according to MeCab/Unidic, but that form never occurs. |

This looks suspicious and is more likely a segmentation error. Phrases like 'をひいて板に', 'をひいて板を' seem to be prevalent and to support this. |
