	Comments:	it simply isn't true that it is usually written in kana. there are a huge number of words in the dictionary (and in Japanese in general) that share a headword with another term and therefore require some disambiguation on the part of the writer or reader. to say that they are "usually written in kana" when they are not is to make the [uk] tag meaningless = Use the "Restrict to common words" option.

	Comments:	When I searched for "まみえる" on Google, it shows up over 100k of hits. When I search for "見える", it does of course show up masses. However, save where both readings are given side by side, one or the other first, I guess that one would read it as "みえる" unless one believed that the writer would have intended "まみえる", but that is a bit loose for reality. Perhaps you would reconsider.

	Comments:	[uk] here is unwarranted because it is untrue to say that まみえる is usually written in kana. - the [arch] tag here indicates that まみえる is archaic. the [P] tag on みえる indicates that it is a priority term. use the tags and the context in which you saw the term to help determine which you are looking at.

	Comments:	I have not amended the above, but I am thinking that the principal entry should be "まみえる" and not "見える". By way of explaining my thoughts, I would say that if one heard "まみえる" used orally, then that would be all right and it could be explained as being derived from "見える". However, if one sees "見える" in some text one would not consider it to be read as "まみえる" unless the author were to put that reading alongside. Thus in the written context, I would read it as your entry below:- 見える【みえる】 (v1,vi) (1) to be seen; to be in sight; (2) to look; to seem; to appear; (3) (hon) to come; (P) For the above reasons, I believe that my suggestion is correct and I wonder if you would agree.
