| Comments: | Fix definition – this is properly *rattan*, a type of palm (tribe Calameae, in family Arecaceae), not cane, which are grasses in the family Poaceae (indeed different orders). Admittedly, “rattan cane” is loosely referred to as “cane”, esp. in furniture; tried to make this clear. In any case, unambiguous “rattan” should be first, with ambiguous and somewhat incorrect “cane” later. (Read in article.) |
