Comments: | I think at least the 2nd sense is worth keeping - see google images for "ストーン" (vs "stone"). Maybe it should even come before "stone." I mean, I get that "stone" can mean "gemstone" by itself but I think it's helpful to distinguish between them, esp. as many times the Japanese usage is "trinket made out of plastic" rather than "A gem or precious stone" (American Heritage® Dictionary, 5th sense for rock) |
