I think it's worth having considering its ngrams are in the 700k's, even if it's not in any other reference.

I checked two different introductory Japanese text books.
Both discuss the word ご両親.
Both both recommend that you use 両親 when talking about your own parents
and ご両親 when talking about someone else's parents.
I think the word is worth having.
