I don't think "linked form; bound ending" are actually wrong; it's more that they are trying to give short general translations without describing in detail what actually happens with a 係り結び. I think GG5 would have been better including a slightly longer explanation as well, but I guess for most dictionary users it's a minor and arcane term.

The original was rather inadequate, and your proposed correction is welcome. I like to lead with shorter glosses, and I think this succinct explanation gets to the point. With "verb agreement" there's no need to say conjugation specifically.
