I think it should be dropped. It's not a 変換ミス but rather an attempt at writing kanji for はんめいき, a misreading of 黎明期. If you search はんめいき on Twitter, you can see people admitting to making this mistake.

I think Eve brings up a good point why we shouldn't be so liberal with including lots and lots of sK forms. Is it harmless? I would argue it's not.

It's normal; it only comes up because 繁明期 is marked as sK, meaning it is hidden from view.
