Comments: | "rogue" seems to have various implications that "老獪" doesn't have and it is pretty uncommon. i wouldn't say it's reflecting the kanji meaning, but the meaning is reflected by the kanji. kokugos don't mention experience at all for "悪賢い", but "経験を積んで" is always present to define "老獪" and i think the glosses should do the same here. note how gg5 translates "老獪な男" to "an old [a cunning] fox; a sly old dog", not because the age itself is important but to denote how his craftiness is influenced by his experienced and this is inherent in "老獪" |

Comments: | Not sure reflecting the kanji meaning is necessary, but maybe this works. |
