OK, I think its' time to bite the bullet on this one.
I'll leave ごうはん separate (only 大辞林 combines it) and bring こわいい back in here. |

as stated above, they may or may not be synonymous (some sources say they are), but it's only daijisen that draws this glutinous/non-glutinous distinction for こわいい and こわめし. to me it just seems like こわいい is a more archaic term and it may not have included beans.

the comment about them sharing a sense was in reference to Jim's comment about ごうはん |

According to my reading of daijisen, the meanings are different.
Might not be true for other dictionaries. |

The only shared element is the kanji headword. Readings And meanings
are different, so not 2/3. |

that seems reasonable too, although daijr seems to be the only dic that has that sense (therefore i think it should come second, not first) |

Also we've approved a separate entry for 強飯/ごうはん, but I see Daijrin has "(1) こわめし(強飯) に同じ。" Perhaps it should be merged too, and its distinct meaning made a sense with restrictions. |

So you suggest that こわいい should be here too? |

The two readings should not be merged:
こわめし uses non glut. rice and こわいい uses glutinous rice
