meikyo: もと互いに入り合う意で「入合」と書いたが、今はそこで出会う意を重んじて「入会」と書く。 |
|
Comments: |
Doesn't refer to the land itself.
入合 isn't irregular. It's in daijs and koj. Meikyo has a note about it. |

ルミナス,新和英中辞典, http://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/leaf/je2/4482/m0u/入り会い/ |
|
Comments: |
Both ルミナス and 新和英中辞典 have 入り会い as the kanji headword, but both use 入会 in compounds (入会権, etc.) From the goo link above it seems that the プログレッシブ does the same. (There is a tendency to drop okurigana from 和語 compounds when a longer compound is being constructed.)
I realise that 入り会い is not very common (when I put it into Google I'm offered 入会 as an alternative), but perhaps labelling it "io" is a little strong. It might just be 国語s being conservative. |
